Petri Kalliokoski appointed as new Chairman of the Board for Innovestor Ventures

Petri Kalliokoski has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board for Innovestor Ventures.

At Innovestor, our goal is to provide not only capital but also crucial know-how and networks to our portfolio companies to support them in building their business’. In order to achieve this, we strive to surround ourselves with the best possible people and build a solid team.

“I have worked closely with Petri for the past couple of years. Taking into consideration his drive, vast experience in venture capital and active approach in developing technology driven growth companies, this is an obvious next step for us as we further develop our Nordic Source ecosystem” says Innovestor Group’s CEO Tommi Äijälä.

Petri is currently the Chairman, CEO and one of the main owners of High Metal Ltd, including MKT Food Tech, a 70 year old family company focusing on food production technologies and innovation in machinery. He is also a private investor and serves as Chairman or Board Member in several growth companies (e.g. Ukko.fi). Petri joined the Innovestor Ventures board as a member in 2018 and acts as an advisor for Innovestor Group.

Prior to his current positions, Petri acted as the Deputy CEO of VTT Technical Research Centre and Chairman of VTT Ventures for several years until 1/2018, including several board positions in high-tech growth companies. He was a key person in ramping-up and developing VTT Ventures investment strategy and operations, resulting in a significant portfolio of science- and research-based spin-offs.
