Transaction signals renewed investor interest in Finland’s commercial property market

Helsinki, (14.11.2025) – Innovestor has sold four modern retail properties in the Helsinki metropolitan area to Swedish-listed Prisma Properties AB (publ). The transaction, valued at approximately EUR 24 million, is a significant international acquisition in the Finnish retail property segment this year and signals renewed investor confidence in well-located, energy-efficient assets.

The assets, located in Järvenpää, Hämeenlinna, Klaukkala and Lohja, combine solid retail fundamentals with integrated renewable-energy and energy storage solutions developed by Innovestor. The solution including on-site battery storage units and solar panels, form part of the company’s broader effort to make commercial properties more resilient to future energy and market volatility.

“This transaction shows that well-designed, future-proof commercial retail assets remain attractive even in a challenging market,” says Tomi Asanti, Managing Partner, Innovestor Real Estate. “Our approach combines hands-on commercial real estate management with energy-technology integration. The result is a portfolio that performs well both financially and environmentally.”

Cross-border confidence in Finnish real estate

For Prisma Properties, the acquisition provides a strong step into the Finnish market with long-term leases, established tenants and embedded sustainability features.

“Innovestor has developed properties meeting today’s retailers’ expectations as well as supporting the clean-energy transition,” says Tom Hagen, Head of Transactions at Prisma Properties. “This acquisition is an excellent fit for Prisma green profile and represents a strategic foothold in a market we consider resilient and progressive.”

Innovestor’s integrated energy strategy

The sale also reflects Innovestor Group’s wider strategy of combining energy investments into venture capital and commercial real estate to accelerate the green transition while maintaining attractive returns. Through the first phase of its Energy Storage initiative, Innovestor is investing EUR 20 million in decentralized battery and solar systems across 30 Finnish commercial properties.

“By integrating energy technology directly into our commercial real-estate assets, we’re building long-term value that extends well beyond rent and yield,” says Wilhelm Lindholm, CEO of Innovestor Group. “The energy transition is a central theme across our entire investment platform, from technology ventures to large-scale energy storage and property assets. We are now expanding this focus through a new VC fund, aimed at accelerating industrial and energy-transition technologies.”
